KURT LEWY

Kurt Lewy (1898–1963) was a German-born painter, enameller, and illustrator who became a prominent figure in Belgian geometric abstraction. Fleeing Nazi persecution, he settled in Brussels in 1935, where he evolved from German Expressionism to geometric abstraction after World War II. His work is characterized by precise geometric shapes and vibrant colors, reflecting a blend of balance and harmony.
